Elvira graduated in law from the Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona (1991). She gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Real Estate Law and Urban Planning Law from Pompeu Fabra University (1992). She earned her PhD in Law cum laude from the same university (2004) and her doctoral thesis was entitled Recognition of Professional Qualifications in the EU.
She was a member of the Administrative Law Faculty of Pompeu Fabra University from 1991 to 1999 where she taught and did research.
In 2000 she worked at the Catalan Parliament providing legal advice on the procedural processes for projects, bills and other parliamentary documents.
Elvira joined Pareja & Associats, Advocats in 2001 and she combines her legal work there with academic activities. She currently lectures on the Bachelor’s Degree in Law and the Master of Advocacy Degree course at Pompeu Fabra University.
