Jorge graduated in law from Central University de Las Villas in Santa Clara, Cuba (1993) and his degree was recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture. He gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Real Estate Law and Urban Planning from Pompeu Fabra University (1995). Between 1994 and 1996 he completed the doctoral courses in Public Law at the same university and presented his doctoral thesis entitled El régimen jurídico del suelo en Cuba (The Legal System governing Land Use in Cuba).

From 1993 to 1994 he practised as a lawyer in Cuba and was an associate teacher in the Law Faculty of Central University de Las Villas.
In 1994 he obtained a grant from the Iberoamerican Cooperation Institute to pursue third cycle studies at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
Jorge joined Pareja& Associats, Advocats in 1997. He is head of the Litigation Department at the firm and he is highly experienced in contentious legal proceedings.
